Joe and Krystin

Joe and Krystin's Pics

Ok.   This is the start of a small collection of our favorite and not-so favorite pics. Krystin and I do not have any children but we certainly DO have a household of that can be shall we say...interesting. Read on...

We have a total of 4 other living, breathing, eating, and sh*ting animals living with us. Now, these so-called "household pets" are supposed to give us an endless supply of love and companionship, and help reduce the stress in our lives...right? Well, they do...I think.

We have a dog named Jose, a bird named Loopy, and 2 fish named George and (I forget the other one's name). Now the funny thing I've noticed about all of these creatures is that all of them possess qualities that all of us humans have, too!

The dog: Jose wants to do nothing but play with his new toys. Each toy is a very important part of his life and who's entire reason for being, may very well be to show the world that to play is to be happy. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to do nothing but think about play? Hmmm... Jose is a 100 pound German Shepherd and is considered dangerous but, in reality is the most chicken sh*t, loveable dog you could ever know. He can scare the postman, UPS driver, or Jehovah Witness off the property in 10 seconds flat. He will also crawl under my desk during a thunder storm and be comforted by my being by his side during this traumatic period. Of course, when it's all over, it's time to play with his very loud squeaky toy.

The fish: My wife Krystin is very good at playing the carnival game, "Throw the ping-pong ball in the goldfish bowl".   She won her first goldfish, George, about a year and a half ago. We didn't expect it to live for more than a few weeks. Well, he lived until the same carnival came to town the next year!   So, Krystin had to go back to the ping-pong ball game. Yeah, she won another one!   Now, we have 2 goldfish. Of course, that means that we now need a bigger tank to house them. That also means that we need to get one of those air pumps to keep the tank clean. They seem to be very happy just swimming around looking for food. They both get along well and I swear sometimes it looks like they're making fun of us. Like they're saying, "Dude, get yourself a nice bowl of water and relax". Ok, I couldn't think of anything more profound to say. Sorry....

The bird: I'll try to keep this paragraph short because I don't want that damn bird to ever find out that I spent any amount of time writing or thinking about him (or her). No, I don't like the bird very much...AT ALL! This bird is the son of Satan himself! The story is; he was an abused bird and Krystin saved him from all of that. Ok, I'm willing to give her kudos. The bird is now about 5 years old and is the most miserable, unpredictable, ungrateful, unloving, son-of-a-bitch you'll ever meet. Well, I may be exaggerating a bit, but remember, I really don't like him....AT ALL! If I try to pick him up, he will most certainly try to bite all of my fingers completely off! I have personally witnessed him rip chunks of flesh from a human hand faster than David Copperfield can make the Statue of Liberty disappear! Talk about biting the hand that feeds you! Oh yeah, he loves Krystin to death and she can pick him up, put him on her shoulder, kiss him, whatever. Hmmm...at least he knows a good woman when he sees one! Ok, this paragraph is long enough. I think I hear him squalking now....

Anyway, below are some pics of all of our beloved. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do...I think.
